Christin D. Blackburn

Christin Blackburn is a Public Relations/Communications professional recently turned Real Estate Investor. After receiving a Communications degree from the University of Alabama in 2011, Christin worked for FedEx Ground in an administrative/HR capacity before joining Southern Nuclear in 2015. In 2019, Christin transferred to Georgia Power working on a nuclear expansion project in Waynesboro, Ga, as a communications specialist and was soon after promoted to communications lead.

In this role, Christin was responsible for all internal communications for the multi-billion-dollar project to include executive communications, website stories that highlighted progress, video messages, photos, signs, graphics, flyers, etc. Christin also supported the Georgia Power headquarters with external communications, which included media inquiries and official media statements, presentations, tours with media and other high-profile stake holders (The Georgia Public Service Commission), event planning and social media content.

After working with Southern Company for almost a decade and making history in Georgia by helping to bring online the first newly built nuclear unit in the United States in more than 30 years, Christin decided to experience life as an entrepreneur, leaving the company to start her own real estate investment business. Growing up in Tuscaloosa, Christin was familiar with the area and its biggest needs regarding fair and reasonable housing. She knew that pursuing real estate would allow her to fill the gap and provide much needed affordable housing in the Tuscaloosa and Northport community.
